Article 1 (Purpose)

This Terms and provisions is made for the purpose of setting forth the terms of service(“TOS”) for National Geographic Information Institute (“Our Institute”)

Article 2 (Notice and Change)

Our Institute reserves the right to update and change the TOS at any time without notice to the user. The most current version of the TOU can be reviewed on our main page or can be noticed in other ways for an immediate effectiveness.

Article 3 (Laws and Regulations)

• 1. All the other matters that are not in this terms and provisions must abide by related laws and regulations.
• 2. If a dispute or disagreement should arise in connection with or out of this Contract, the parties shall hereto first try
      to resolve it in accordance with a principle of good faith.

Article 4 (Definition)

• 1. User : Member of PCGIP
• 2. ID : The person who granted ID by our institute in order to identify and to use our service
• 3. Password : A combination of characters and numbers in order to protect the confidentiality of the account user.
• 4. Service : Information that our institute provides by on-line

Article 1 (Valid of Service use)

• 1. The agreement is valid for a user by accepting the terms and provision of the TOS and approval by our institute.
• 2. When a user is granted ID, it is considered that the user can use our service officially.
• 3. The user cannot rent or lease his/her ID.

Article 2 (Approval of Service)

1. Out Institute provides ID for a new user.

Article 1 (Management of the ID and password)

• 1. The user is responsible for his/her ID and password in terms of managing.
• 2. The change of the ID is not possible in principle.
• 3. The user is held responsible for miss-using or cheating by a 3rd party for the service.

Article 2 (Duration of Service)

Our Institute reserves the right to update and change the TOS at any time without notice to the user. The most current version of the TOU can be reviewed on our main page or can be noticed in other ways for an immediate effectiveness.

Article 3 (Termination of Service)

• 1. Our Institute can terminate the service in following cases;
  • a. If there is no electronic service
  • b. if we cannot continue service due to management problems;
  • c. if there is a "Force Majeure"
• 2. Our institute can limit or terminate our service in any event of national emergency or facility obstacles

Article 4 (Definition)

Our Institute reserves the right to update and/or change the service at any time on bulletin board or in other ways without any notice to users

Article 5 (Duty of user)

• 1. The user must abide by our rules such as laws and regulations, provisions, and our notice. The user also should not act to disturb our service
• 2. The user is considered to be accepted our E-mail as a part of our service
• 3. The user has the full responsibilities for changing his/her personal information, if not our institute is not responsible for any damage

• 4. The user can not rent or lease his/her authority and/or position in any cases
• 5. In case of fraud using of the user’s ID, the user must inform us
• 6. The user must not do as follows;
  • a. Acting an illegal of other user’s ID
  • b. Acting an illegal activities of crime
  • c. Acting to endanger our service
  • d. Acting of defamation of character
  • e. Acting of constant sending E-mail to other users against their wills
  • f. Acting of hacking, cracking, and illegal-compiling
  • g. Acting of being against our laws and regulations

Article 6 (read and edit of personal information)

The user can change his/her password in our website at all times

Article 7 (withdrawal and termination)

• 1. The user shall apply for withdrawal to our department of planning policy
• The person who is charge is Young-Ju, Hong and his E-mail address is jane96@mltm.go.kr
• 2. In case of fraud of using ID, our institute shall terminate the ID
• 3. In case of disclosure fraud of using ID, there is a limited condition for a user to re-applying

Article 8 (holding period and duration of personal information)

• 1. Personal information shall be destroyed after collecting in the following cases;
  • a. As for a new member, all the personal records shall be destroyed
• 2. Our institute shall keep personal records in following cases;
  • a. Due to the requirements of documentation by laws/court
  • b. The user who is denied in accordance with article 7
  • c. In case of needing to keep the record

Article 1. (User Protect)

• 1. For the protection of user, our institute abides by the provisions such as PCGAIP’s duty and user agreement in accordance with Article 6.
• 2. Our institute does not rent, sell, or share personal information about user with other people or non-affiliated companies. However, we are not responsible for the miss-conduct by another company such as our web-site developer.
• 3. Our institute shall/must take care of claims or complaints where as they are considered to be reasonable. However, if it is difficult to act immediately, we will inform the reasons and schedule to the user.
